.Short Bio: My undergraduate degree is from Harvey Mudd College, my MA and PhD are from University of Wisconsin, Madison, all in mathematics. Before joining the faculty of American University in 1993 I worked as an applied mathematician at the Aerospace Corporation for eight years. Prior to that I taught at University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and Augstana College in Sioux Falls, SD. I also served for one year as an Associate Executive Director of the Mathematical Association of America.
